Colorado Alliance for Health Equity and Practice (CAHEP), previously Colorado Asian Health Education and Promotion started operation in July 2001 as the Colorado Asian TB Elimination Project (CATEP), a coalition of Asian Pacific American (APA) leaders focused on eliminating Tuberculosis (TB) in Colorado.
Our vision is to be Colorado’s leading organization for community-based, culturally appropriate healthcare services. We aim to:
- Improve the health of Colorado’s immigrant communities through culturally and linguistically appropriate prevention, health education, wellness activities, early detection, and self-management of disease.
- Increase access to health services through comprehensive medical care and patient navigation at our Community Clinic for all multi-ethnic populations using a medical home model.
- Deliver a comprehensive program of culturally and linguistically appropriate safety-net services that are created in collaboration with community leaders and members.
